William Westfall a Parker Boy Scout from Troop 88 was honored this week for his quick thinking when he saved another boy from drowning.
I tapped him on the shoulder to see if he was just holding his breath or something, like 2 seconds, and then I pulled him out of the water,” William said in the TV interview shown below.
The South Metro Fire District held a ceremony for young William and gave him a lifesaver award.
Nice to see kids in our community willing to take action when they see a need. Congratulations to William, his family, and his boy scout troop.
