Snowmass will become a hot air balloon Mecca with the highest altitude hot air balloon event in the country for the Annual Snowmass Balloon Festival where balloons ascend upon the Snowmass mountain sky accentuating the beauty of an autumn weekend.
A true celebration of flight, the Annual Snowmass Balloon Festival will once again showcase nearly 40 hot air balloons and their dedicated pilots during this exciting weekend event, taking place at the Snowmass Softball Field and Base Village. Set against a backdrop of spectacular fall colors, the Snowmass Balloon Festival is one of the highest hot-air balloon festivals in the country. Families, kids and people of all ages will delight in watching these wondrous balloons take to the sky.
ALL BALLOON EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Over three days, 30 pilots compete in challenges and races, as spectators take in the stunning sight and capture spectacular photos. Special activities and events round out the weekend, including Cidermass and Septemberfest. All Snowmass Balloon Festival events are free and open to all ages. All daytime events take place at Snowmass Town Park, with free parking in the Town Park Station lot.
