Attention High School Students!
Introducing a new program, Lessons in Local Government, that aims to provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the roles of officials in local government and how to be active in the local government process.
These opportunities are ideal for students studying government, those involved in their school’s student government, or those interested in government, politics or law.
From February to April, students can attend an official Town Council Meeting to see the process in action, attend a Civics Seminar session to learn more about Parker’s government and the services offered, or request a Parker elected official visit their classroom. All three options allow you to interact directly with elected and Town officials to ask questions and, in some cases, help you satisfy your AP U.S. Government and Politics class requirement.
To learn more and sign up, please visit ParkerCO.gov/Lessons.
